My Aunt teaches me to change a tire

This situation came up for me Saturday 27th of May. My aunt got into her parking lot and realized her car tire was flat. Why was this tire flat? She drove over a nail somehow.

How to change a tire?

  1. Find a safe flat location, thankfully we were in my aunt’s garage
  2. Turn on your hazard lights
  3. Apply parking brake
  4. Apply wheel wedges
  5. Remove wheel hub cap and wheel covers.
  6. Loosen the lug nuts, Lefty loosey!
  7. Place jack under the vehicle, in our case, it was a Toyota
  8. Unscrew lug nuts
  9. remove the flat tire
  10. Mount on the spare tire with lug nut bolts
  11. Tighten the lug nuts
  12. Lower the vehicle and tighten again
  13. Lower the vehicle completely
  14. Replace hubcap
  15. Store all of your equipment
  16. Check pressure in your tire
  17. Take flat tire to Dignity auto repairs!

  1. If your car needs regular service get it done now. You do not want to break down on the 401 in below minus 10 weather on your way to your relative’s place.
  2. Drive slowly when possible to navigate in difficult weather.
  3. Check Brakes and adjust to ensure equal braking.

Benefits of a quality car wax

Quality car wax

If you ask any auto detailers they will stress on to you the importance of protecting your vehicle’s coat of paint with a quality car wax. The idea of waxing is your want to provide a sacrificial layer over your  car to protect the quality of paint. In this blog Dignity Repairs will tell you why you want to protect your car with a quality wax. That way this is sure to stay top of mind for Dignity Drivers.

  1. Increase the life span of your vehicle’s coat of paint- Over time Oxidation occurs which breaks down the quality of your car’s paint. Which can make the exterior of the vehicle look very bad.
  2. Makes the paint look good which makes you look good– The Wax adds a quality shine to your vehicle and increases the life span of the paint.
  3. Preserves resale value– It doesn’t matter if you have a car that runs great. A bad paint job is going to give a potential buyer room to negotiate the price down with you.
  4. Maintaining a wax coating makes washing easier – Wax helps prevent dirt and other filth from bonding with the vehicle. Which makes washing much easier.
  5. Fun Factor – Driving & being in a shiny car is fun. It makes you feel good and it makes you feel cool.

To conclude use a quality wax. If you need a recommendation feel free to stop by to our location on Dundas Street in Toronto Ontario. That way we can refer you to a quality wax. Thank you for reading the Dignity Repairs blog today. Be sure to connect with Dignity Repairs below on Social media.
